Hedwig?
Hedwig, a character from the Harry Potter series of books and movies, is Harry's owl. Hedwig provides, of course, the important service of parcel and letter delivery, but she also provides more than that. She is a loyal friend to Harry; gives him affection, looks out for his happiness and well-being, and provides companionship. Hedwig is very intelligent, and she understands things going on around her quite well. She is able to convey her feelings through her hoots and expressive eyes, giving her quite a bit of personality. Overall, Hedwig is quite an amazing animal, and I for one would feel lucky to have her as a companion.
